WEST WYALONG
NEW SOUTH WALES
West Wyalong is situated halfway between Sydney and Melbourne on the Newell highway.
West Wyalong grew after the discovery of gold in 1893 and continues to have a large gold mining operation here today.
Apart from mining, agriculture plays a major role in the area with canola, grain and lucerne being very popular crops and you will see large flocks of sheep grazing throughout the area.
Further out of town we have the location for the model airplane competitions, Rifle and shotgun ranges and arenas for all the local horse sports.
